Thank you for your interest in supporting the ministries of Solon United Methodist Church. Your financial support enables us to further God’s Kingdom both locally and globally. For your convenience we provide several different ways for you to give.
Online Giving is an easy, secure and convenient way to present your tithes and offerings. Your gifts can be given anywhere at a time that is convenient for you. This method of giving allows you to give an electronic check ( with your bank routing number and your account number from either your checking or savings account).
Simply go to Online Giving at any time to set up an automatic donation plan, change your donation plan, make a one-time donation or view your online donation history. If this is your first time to the website, you will need to create a user name and password. The website is protected by SecurityMetrics.com.
Solon United Methodist Church can work with you to automatically debit your checking or savings account each month. Complete the Automatic Deposit Forms and return them to the Church Office Administrator. Be sure to enclose a voided check with the completed registration forms.

Make your check out to Solon UMC and note in the memo section if you want to designate your donation. Ensure that your correct address is on the check and drop it in the offering plate during any worship service or mail it to the church.
Simply place cash in an envelope (found in the pew pocket) and drop it in an offering plate during the collection at any worship service or mail it to the church. Be sure to include your name and address on the envelope so that donation credit may be provided for tax purposes.
Planned Financial Gifts
Give via retirement assets, bequests, trusts, stock donations, e.g. as part of your overall personal financial strategy. Contact the Church Office to get in touch with the Permanent Endowment Committee.
Acknowledging Your Gifts
The church will distribute (either by USPS or email) statements of your monetary contributions to date on a quarterly basis, including the end of year statement you can use for tax purposes.
Beginning in 2016 we are altering slightly the way the church acknowledges your non-cash contributions. Rather than tracking and compiling a list of non-cash contributions for the year, we are providing a non-cash donations letter to be filled out at the time the gift is given. You will have your acknowledgement immediately, rather than with the contribution statement at the end of the year, so you can file it away and track it for yourself.
There is a place on the form to fill out:
your name, address, date of the contribution
and the number and description of the items being donated.
At the bottom of the form is a place for the person accepting the contribution to acknowledge/verify that it was received with their initials or signature. If there is no-one available at the time you drop off your contribution, you can fill out the form yourself and have another church member acknowledge it later, or bring it by the office to be signed.
